I chose to use iridizing, a method of spraying precious metal salts onto the surface of hot glass as a way of adding lush color that shifts and changes in the light. This technique was developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the 1800’s.

We absolutely shoot our work under strong light in a studio environment with professional backgrounds. I want the work to be shown as well as it can be, but I am including photographs below in ordinary light so you can know how your piece will look when you get your pieces delivered to your home, or as a gift.
When I made the first pieces, I took them with me to California to photograph them on the beaches there. These pieces are from that trip. One thing you will notice is that the pieces can change color slightly depending on how the light is striking them, an effect of some colors of iridized glass (gold especially).
